2018 Traminette
Our largest block of vines with over 2-acres planted, Traminette is our signature white wine and has quickly become a customer favorite. In the vineyard this vine is easy to grow with a lot of vigor, and when the fruit is ripe the grapes develop a beautiful golden color. In the glass this dry white wine will first impress you with its floral aromas that will make you think of a sunny spring day. Next you’ll taste flavors of citrus and lemon peel, with a lingering finish. This wine loves food, and pairs well with spicy foods.
Look: Straw gold color
Aroma: Floral, with a touch of anise
Taste: Lychee and citrus, with a hint of spice on the finish
These grapes were hand harvested and sorted in the field to remove unripe fruit and any foreign materials that could possibly affect the wine. In the winery we whole cluster press the grapes, then move the juice into stainless steel tanks so that we can control the temperatures to about 50° F. After letting the juice settle we began cold fermentation which lasted for about three weeks.

This medium bodied, dry white wine has a lot of qualities similar to its parent Gewürztraminer. Big aromas and flavors create a distinctive experience whether alone or paired with food. We have paired this with seafood/shellfish, spicy foods, and BBQ (every kind!).
